These sets were made in Czechoslovakia by Josef Inwald.
This set was found in a Life Line shop in Brisbane, Queensland in August 2014.
It was sitting on the counter of the shop when it came to the notice of  a friend of mine.
As he is aware that I collect  float bowl sets, he texted me the sellers contact information. I immediately made contact and purchased it at the asking price plus postage.
The sales person mentioned that it had been in the shop for some considerable time, lucky me.
The bowl set is in perfect condition and is a most unusual colour which I have not seen before.
I am still amazed at the colour variations that turn up from time to time.

I have a bowl for sale in pink, 2 frogs in pink and 2 fish in pink - the fish are reproductions. Email me if you are interested.

Hi Aimee
I am interested to know why you think the fish are reproductions.

I believe they are reproductions because of the lack of detail on the fish. On one fish the back fins are basically gone on another fish they barely exist, nether of these fish have much definition similar to the remakes of the 1930's reproduction dishes. The frogs on these items are also a different size, the bowls appear the same.

Over years I have seen many Fish Figurines that are lacking in detail such as fish scales etc.

It is possible that a Josef Inwald moulds that are well worn and long pass its use by date has been used to make them or they may have been rejects.

I have also come across the Dancing Lady figurine lacking detail which suggests the same.

The frog size on the Josef Inwald Poison Volant is 1.25 on the other frog with the fish that looks off the size is 1inch?

Hi Neil,
I sent you some pictures of the Poison Volant bowl I have and the 2 I consider to be reproductions. I believe you will see the difference. The reproduction are pink. I also have 3 that I believe are Josef Inwald bowls in blue, green and pink colors.
