GIRL ON A TORTOISE figural flower frog

Some people are saying that this figural flower frog is of a little girl sitting on a turtle.
The little girl is actually seated on a tortoise.
It is easy to confuse a turtle with a tortoise unless you are able to see them side by side to see how they are different. 
The pictures below demonstrate how these two reptiles differ.

   A tortoise has stubby feet with claws and they are land dwellers.                 A turtle has webbed feet with claws for                                                                                                                                           swimming  and they live in or by water.

The maker and country of origin of the Girl on a Tortoise flower frog is unknown.
