DANCING GIRL figural flower frogs up date to an article posted in January 2015

 Information has now come to my notice  which  has enabled me to  compare the difference between  the Jobling DANCING GIRL and the Rosice BALLERINA flower frogs

The Jobling DANCING GIRL flower frog in my collection has the following features.

The overall height is 19 cm.

The base diameter is 8.6cm.

The base has 10 round  holes for flower arranging.

Seen in crystal, amber, green, blue and pink in a frosted finish.

The Rosice BALLERINA  flower frog pictured below has the following features.

The overall height is 18 cm.

The base diameter is 9 cm.

The base has 8 square holes for flower arranging.

Seen in green in a clear finish.

The Rosice  BALLERINA   picture and size  information has been kindly  given to me by a fellow Australian collector.

Rudolfova Hut Glass Works owned by Josef Inwald

 The Rudolfova Hut Glass Works was located at Dubi Teplice Czechoslovakia and owned by Josef Inwald  from
1906-1965
This Glass Works became the largest producer of pressed glass in Czechoslovakia.
Josef Inwald owned several glass factories that were nationalised and  became part of the Sklo Union group in 1965.

The  bowl pictured above  is illustrated in a Rudolfova Hut 1958 catalogue accompanied with the numbers 1/00250 and  its size of 40cm diameter.
Seen  in crystal, amber, green, blue, and pink in a clear finish.
I purchase this bowl from  MACKLEY FINE ART ANTIQUE & DECOR which is situated in

 I have combined  the ISADORA one piece  figural flower frog (AN) which was made by one of  Josef Inwald glass works with the  BEADED rim design  bowl to make a set.
Seen in crystal, amber, green. blue and pink in a frosted finish.
The name ISADORA  was chosen for this flower frog to differentiate it from the DANCING LADY two piece figural flower frog which is seen below in a water splash bowl also made by Josef Inwald which is similar in design.

It is acceptable  to combine  a bowl  and a figural flower frog  to make up a bowl set even though the combination does not appear in a catalogue. However it is important to make sure that they were made by  the same glass maker.

When  a bowl and a figural flower frog of two different glass makers are put together to make up a set it is known as  a    marriage  in the collecting world and not a true set.
 
Josef Inwald acquired many glass factories in Czechoslovakia. Rudolfova Hut, Libochovice and Barolac were just three of his glass factories.

Angela Isadora Duncan was an American dancer. Born in California, she lived in Western Europe and the Soviet Union from the age of 22 until her tragic death in a car accident near Nice France on September 14th, 1927 at the age of 50.

The above DANCING LADY bowl set with a water splash pattern bowl  is 29cm in diameter.
This set was also made by one of  Josef Inwald's glass works.
